Has anyone here had any issues with their 10-speed transmissions in the 2022-2024 models? Rough shifting or anything?
I used to have a 2021 Expedition, and it started shifting rough around 10,000 miles. By 20,000 miles, it got worse, so I sold it. I really liked the SUV though, so I’m hoping Ford has fixed these issues by now.

The TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for fixing transmission issues doesn’t recommend the CDF drum fix for vehicles made after August 15, 2022.

We’ve got a 2023 with 25k miles, and so far, no transmission issues. We also bought the premium care warranty for 7 years or 150k miles, just to be safe.

I had to get the transmission replaced on my 2022 at 30,000 miles.
What were the signs that made you take it in for replacement?
I bought it from a dealer who took it in from someone like you who sold theirs. Within a week of owning it, the transmission shifted so hard it felt like I got rear-ended. During my first month with it, it was at the dealership for 3 weeks.
But, honestly, I still love the car, no regrets. It’s a 2022 Timberline.
I’ve got a 2022 King Ranch Max, and I’m noticing weird downshifts. If I’m going 45-50 mph, turn onto a side road at 25-30 mph, and then stop after a short distance, I get this odd downshift from 4th to 3rd gear.
Just about to hit 36,000 miles. I just had the transmission, transfer case, and diff fluids changed, but no improvement.
I thought they had fixed the transmission issues by 2021? Our 2019 needed a total rebuild at 98,000 miles, just before our extended warranty ran out. Thankfully, we got it covered.
I’m looking at a 2022 Expedition Limited this weekend with 15,000 miles. It was produced in April 2022, which seems to be before they fixed the transmission issues.
Should I be worried and maybe not buy it? The car is in perfect condition otherwise.
