I can’t say for sure, but I’ve had so many problems with my 2018 that I’ll never buy another Ford.
Same here… These comments don’t give me any hope for Ford’s future with SUVs.

@HighwayHauler
If I hadn’t overpaid for mine, I would’ve traded it in by now. We’ve spent $20,000 on repairs in less than two years.

If you’ve had to bring it in for the same issue three times in one year, you could get Ford to buy it back under the lemon law. Ford bought my 2020 Expedition back after it needed a new transmission at 61,000 miles.
@Ripley
Ford told me to kick rocks. They even admitted they know their cars are junk, but they said that wasn’t their problem.
I’ve got a 2023 Timberline, and when it downshifts from 4th to 3rd gear, it sometimes clunks hard, like it’s going to fall apart. It doesn’t happen all the time, but I don’t have much faith that my local dealer will know how to fix it.
@Sage
Take it in for repairs three times within a year. If they can’t fix it (which they probably won’t), get a lemon law attorney, and Ford will have to buy it back. That’s what happened with my 2020 Expedition.
@Ripley
Yeah, I’ll probably end up doing that. What a headache though.

It’s a hassle, but if they replace the transmission under warranty, you’ll likely get a factory-rebuilt one, and I’ve heard people have trouble with those too. Once I contacted my lemon law attorney, it took about six weeks, and I had a check in hand. Ford pays the attorney, so I didn’t have to cover any costs. The payout is based on how much you paid, including sales tax, minus some for the time you had the vehicle. I ended up getting more than market value, even if the transmission had been good!
We’ve had a 2024 since March and have put about 5,000 miles on it so far. No issues at all, but we did get the ESP warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles, just in case.
