Chrome Trim Delete and C Pillar Wrap… Anyone else tried this?

Used 3M 2080 gloss wrap for the first time. Wrapped the chrome trim and also blacked out the C pillars. This was my first time wrapping anything, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Love the clean monotone look.

Thanks! My last car was a white Expedition with gold trim, and I didn’t want white again. But when I saw the white/black combo, I was sold.

I would’ve done the same if I went with white. Ended up with black, but I still want to get rid of that chrome band. Looks great!

Thanks! The chrome wasn’t too bad to wrap. One roll of 2-inch by 50-foot 3M tape did the job, even after some redoing. Also grabbed a vinyl tool kit from Amazon, think it was about $10.

Might have to try it myself now.

Here’s the tool kit I used. Was pretty affordable.

I’ve been thinking about doing this myself.

Same here, but I’ll probably leave it to the pros. Looks amazing though, reminds me of a Navigator!

I’m a fan of the Navigator look. Some of them have the whole upper half blacked out. I figured, why not try it? Only cost about $30 in materials.

It wasn’t too hard, but it’s not perfect. I watched a lot of wrapping videos before starting, and I did have to redo some parts. This guy has some great tutorials.

I think I’ll start with the chrome first.

Any chance you can share a front view? Looks badass.

I’ll take one tomorrow, it’s too dark out right now.

Here are more pics! The front is stock, though. It’s the Timberline trim with a satin black metallic finish.

That turned out so clean! I’m thinking of blacking out my wild green one.

Looks amazing! I’ve been wanting to do this too, but I don’t have the stealth package, so I still need to figure out what to do about the grill and rear trim.

I’ve seen videos on how to wrap the grill, looks like it’s a bit more involved. But honestly, wrapping wasn’t too bad for a first-timer. If you’re patient and start with the easier parts, you can get the hang of it. Mine’s a Timberline, so the grill and rear trim were already black from the factory.

That looks super sharp.

This looks amazing! I need to do this to mine ASAP.
