Thinking of Buying a Used 2022 Timberline… Anything I Should Know?

I found a used 2022 Timberline with 58k miles. Are there any engine or transmission issues I should watch out for around 60k miles? Any other known issues?

I’m currently driving a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands, which I love, but I’m looking for something a bit bigger for long drives.

If you go for it, definitely get a warranty. I bought a 2022 Timberline with 30k miles two months ago, and within two weeks, I had to get the transmission replaced under warranty.

This generation is known for transmission problems, but I still love the car otherwise.

@Shawn
If it was built after mid-August 2022, the transmission should have the updated parts, so it should be fine.

Same model here. Do you ever have CarPlay issues? Mine sometimes won’t connect over Bluetooth or cable. I’ve tried deleting my phone from the interface and re-pairing it, but it only works after I restart the car and let the screen reset.

@Farley
Nope, haven’t had any CarPlay issues.

Guess I might have a wiring issue then… lucky me!

I really like mine. Bought it with 30k miles, now up to 40k. But yeah, definitely get the warranty!

Is it the one at CarMax near DFW? I checked that one out, but I couldn’t get past the blue exterior with the green interior combo. They’ve had it for a while now.

Just be prepared for it to spend a lot of time in the shop. I’d only consider it if you can get a Ford warranty.

Man, why are you even here? All you do is bash Ford. Go back to Chevy if that’s all you have to say.

@Blake
Just trying to save someone from potential issues. My experience with a Ford was a nightmare. Look at what others are saying too.

So, you had a bad one, but that doesn’t mean they’re all bad!
