When will the 2025 Expeditions start showing up on lots?
Thinking of getting one for my wife. Should I wait for the 2025 models or go ahead and order a 2024?
Also, I’ve never ordered a car before. Is the process at the dealer the same as building it online?
Edit: I’m looking at a 2024 Limited Max 302A with the big screen. Planning to order this week. Anyone have experience with the rear-seat entertainment screens? We’ve got two young kids, so we need them. Looking for reviews. Any other features you think are a must-have?
The 2025 models will have a refresh, so it depends if you like the changes or want the newest version. Personally, I’m not a fan of the updated screens, but I like the split trunk. Just keep in mind the first year of new tech can sometimes have issues.
Is the 2025 just a refresh or a whole new body? Didn’t they already refresh the current one in 2021 or 2022? Seems like a new body would come a few years later, right?
If you’re looking for a deal, the 2024 models have better incentives right now. Ford’s taking its time releasing the 2025 models, and they probably won’t be available until March or April. Personally, I love the 2025 Navigator’s design, but I’d save a few thousand and grab a 2024.
Why not just go for a certified pre-owned lease return? They usually come with better warranties than new ones, and you can add the extended Ford warranty. Most CPOs offer 100,000-mile coverage, which beats the standard 36-month factory warranty. Save some money!
I’m wondering what the 2025s will look like and how much they’ll cost. For now, Ford and most dealers have huge markdowns on the 2024s. My wife and I just bought one, and with all the incentives, it was $12k off MSRP.
If you want the best deal, wait until the 2025s come out. That’s when you’ll see better discounts on the 2024 models. The best time to negotiate is between Christmas and New Year’s, as that’s when manufacturers offer their top incentives.
I just got a 2024 Limited Stealth for my wife. Here’s why I didn’t wait:
I got a big discount vs. paying MSRP for a 2025.
Sync 4 works great and has built-in maps in case Apple CarPlay or Android Auto doesn’t work.
The 15-inch screen is huge—don’t need anything bigger.
Lane-centering tech works well on highways, almost feels like it drives itself.
The new 2025 models might have some nice features, but they’ll be pricey. Plus, I’m not a fan of Google’s built-in system that needs a subscription for features. Stick with what works for now.
If you’re looking at financing, Lincoln’s offering 0% for 60 months on the 2024 Navigator. Ford only has 0% for 36 months on the Expedition. The Expedition tows more, but the Navigator has nicer features like a heads-up display.
