Is $86,318 OTD a fair price for a 2024 Limited 303A?

I’m considering a 2024 Ford Expedition Limited 303A with a sticker price of $84,960. The dealer’s offering me $86,318 out-the-door with 7% sales tax included.

There’s a $5,000 rebate available, but I still feel like I might be overpaying based on some older posts I’ve seen from September, where people were getting up to $14,000 - $16,000 off sticker. Any thoughts?

Back in 2019, Limited models were around $60k. Personally, I couldn’t justify the extra $24k. If the deal doesn’t seem right, consider waiting for a certified pre-owned. They drop in value pretty quickly, and you’ll still get a good warranty through Ford Credit if you go CPO.

Picked up a 2023 303A toward the end of 2023 for $71,500 plus tax.

Where are you located? If you’re open to traveling, you can likely find a better deal. I got the same 303A package with all options, and I traveled 7 hours to save $16.5k off MSRP. Most local dealers were only offering $3k - $6k off, so it was worth the trip. I’d aim for at least $10k off sticker before considering it.

I’m near Chicago. Thinking the same thing with 2025 models arriving soon. I actually did a similar drive to MI for my F150 a few years back. Totally worth the 2.5-hour trip.

There’s a 304A package listed at about the same price they’re quoting you for the 303A.

Don’t settle. Push for $10k off sticker and be ready to walk away… magic happens when you’re willing to walk.

Run, run, run… $86k could get you a decent house. That’s a lot to pay just for transportation. Definitely check out Expedition and F-150 forums first to learn as much as you can.

Exactly what I was wondering. I appreciate the insight!

There was a big $7,500 trade-in rebate that ended September 30th. Might’ve missed that window.

That seems high. I know a dealership near me offering lower prices. You could fly into MHT, grab a ride, and still save around $15k.

Here are two I found:

They even have Platinums for less than your OTD. And no sales tax in NH, which helps.

Have you seen what’s coming in 2025? Might be worth waiting if you like the upgrades.

Not really a fan of the oval steering wheel design.

I actually think it’s a nice change, but not enough to trade my 2022. The Lincoln Nautilus has a similar style. Worth a look for anyone on the fence.

Yeah, we’re looking at Stone Blue, which is carrying over into 2025. So if we don’t get a good deal on this one, we’re ready to wait. Although ‘spring’ release could be a while!

We have access to A/Z pricing through a family friend, so just trying to get the best possible deal on a 2024.
