Hey all, just grabbed a 2020 Expedition, pretty pumped, but also a little nervous about keeping up with maintenance and getting the most out of this beast. Any tips for a new owner?
Wow, congrats dude, first thing make sure you’re keeping up with oil changes—especially with these big engines. Every 5k miles has worked for me so far with my 2021’.
Nice choice… I’d say look into upgrading the tires if you’re planning any off-roading. The stock ones are fine for city driving but not much more.
Oh yeah, the 2020 models are sweet. How’s the infotainment working for you? I’ve had some issues with Bluetooth connectivity on mine.
Yeah man, the Bluetooth is a little glitchy. It’ll cut out randomly. Did you get that sorted?
Honestly, I haven’t. Tried a software update, but no luck. Might just have to live with it for now.
Congrats!.. for me i’d say just check out the towing capacity. I’ve been using mine for hauling a trailer. Just don’t forget to activate Tow/Haul mode.
Anyone else feel like the fuel economy could be better on these? Love my 2019 Expedition but man, it guzzles gas. Thinking about getting a tune for better efficiency.
Yeah, the fuel economy is rough. How much of a difference does the tune make? I’m debating if it’s worth it.
Depends. I’ve seen about a 1-2 MPG improvement. Not huge, but every bit helps if you’re driving a lot.
Tuning is cool, but make sure it doesn’t void your warranty. Some dealerships are picky about that. Maybe start with some lighter mods, like a cold air intake, before going all-in.
