Does this 2022 Expedition Max Stealth sound legit?

Hey, I’ve been looking for an Expedition Max for a while. A dealership told me they have a 2022 Expedition Max Stealth Edition, but I noticed it doesn’t have red brake calipers. The rims and letters are blacked out, though. I thought all Stealth Editions had red calipers. Am I missing something?

There are two main packages: 303A and 304A. They’re almost the same, but 304A adds red calipers, a 440 HP tune, and costs about $10k more. Sounds like you’re looking at a 303A.

I’ve got a ‘24 303A, and honestly, the red calipers weren’t worth the extra $10k to me.

Ask the dealership for the original build sheet. It’ll show what packages the vehicle came with from the factory.

Oh wow, I didn’t know you could ask for that. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, they should provide it. I’ve seen some Stealth Editions without red calipers. One’s for sale at a local dealer near me right now.

Good to know! By the way, does $54k sound fair for this one? It’s got 40k miles, 1 owner, no big damage, and a middle bench seat.

@Luca
Pricing really depends on your area. I just got a Max Limited with 60k miles for $47,500 where I live. That seemed about average for the market here.

Got it. Thanks for the info!

There’s a Stealth Performance package that includes what you’re describing, like the red calipers.

I’m not specifically after red calipers. I just thought all Stealth Editions had them and wanted to confirm the dealership wasn’t misleading me.

I have a ‘22 Stealth we ordered when they first came out. For that year, there were two options: regular Stealth and Stealth Performance. The regular Stealth had black accents and an upgraded interior. The Performance package added red calipers and the bigger center screen, but no higher HP engine for the ‘22 models. We stuck with the regular Stealth since the performance version wasn’t worth the price.
