Dim Lights Dilemma

Hey all, my 2012 Expedition’s headlights are pretty weak. What’s the best replacement bulb to brighten them up?

I tried some high-performance halogens, and while they were brighter, they burned out way too fast for the price. LEDs might be the way to go if you want longevity.

You gotta need to check the wiring before you dive into new bulbs, make sure your wiring is good. I had dim lights tooand it turned out to be a loose connection. Saved me from buying new bulbs.

If you’re looking for brightness, consider adding some fog lights. They really help illuminate the road without blinding oncoming traffic

Sylvania is pretty reliable and cheap. I’ve used their SilverStar series, and they’re nice and bright as well.

Great suggestions, everyone. I’m leaning towards LEDs. Any other brands you recommend?

You could try HID bulbs. They’re super bright but require a bit more setup. Just don’t go too crazy with the wattage; you don’t want to blind everyone on the road.

HIDs sound cool, but I’m worried about the installation. Is it that complicated

It’s not that hard. Just some basic tools and a little patience. YouTube has some great tutorials if you need help.
