Anyone know where I can find a retractable cargo cover for a 2024 Expedition Max? I’m looking for something to hide or shade the cargo area, not a liner. I’ve seen them in smaller SUVs but finding nothing for the Expedition.
Can’t say for sure on the 2024 model, but I tried searching everywhere for one for my 2014 Expedition, and there was nothing available – no factory or aftermarket options.
Seems like full-size SUVs just don’t get that cargo privacy option.
@Freeman
I saw a post in another forum from someone with the same issue on their 2014. Someone suggested that, since full-size SUVs are higher up and usually tinted, they think privacy isn’t needed. Right…
@Wynn
Yeah, it seems common across brands too. I didn’t have the option on my old Yukon, and it’s the same story with Toyota’s Sequoia and Land Cruiser models.

So frustrating, especially with car break-ins spiking in metro areas!
@Wynn
I’ve thought about rigging up my own version with shower rod-style tension bars and maybe a sheet of plastic or carpet.
Thought about it… never actually did it, though.
You’ll need the advanced cargo package. It includes a floor section that flips up and hooks onto the side walls to create a shelf, hiding the cargo area. Only downside is that it’s attached to the trunk floor, so you’d need to buy that whole piece.
I’m actually building a DIY version out of ABS plastic to get a similar result.
@Jody
You just made my day! I think my vehicle has that feature. Will check it out in the daylight – though I have a Max, so it might only cover the very back section. Thank you for mentioning this!

You’re lucky! I wanted that option but couldn’t find one with it, so I went with a different deal.
@Jody
Honestly, I’d trade it for massage seats, but it’s nice to have this at least!
