Can you really stack the 2.9% with the $7,000 off?

My dealer is saying I can’t combine the 2.9% financing with the $7,000 discount, but I saw someone here say it’s possible. The Ford website doesn’t mention if they can be stacked or if it’s one or the other. Anyone here working at a dealership know for sure? I’m looking at a 2024 Platinum Max in South Dakota if that makes a difference.

The closer you get to December 31st, the more likely that ‘can’t stack’ turns into a ‘can stack.’ Dealers get more flexible at the end of the year.

Is that $7k part of a customer cash incentive? Usually, they won’t combine special financing with the customer cash, but there’s room to work on the MSRP. I’ve seen ads here in Houston with $12k off MSRP for Expeditions, so you might have room to negotiate. I know inventory can be a factor too.

When we got our King Ranch in 2023, we managed 0.9% financing and $8k off MSRP. Found the same model on AutoNation’s website, and our dealership matched that price and the financing. Maybe at month’s end, they’ll be more willing to work with you too.

Yep, that’s right. Currently, you can get 1-36 months at 1.9%, 37-48 at 2.9%, 49-60 at 3.9%, or 61-72 at 4.9%. There’s also $1,000 in special APR bonus cash with those rates and an additional $615 BlueCruise bonus.

If you can wait, these deals might get even better. Once the 2025s are out, incentives usually improve even more. Good luck!

If I could stack that 2.9% with the $7,000 discount, I’d probably go grab that 2024 XLT I’ve been eyeing right now!

Waiting can help with incentives, but it’s a gamble with stock too. Once the 2024s are gone, they’re gone, and the 2025 models will reset to MSRP. If you’re set on a specific build, jump on it when it makes sense to you.

I got $16.5k off mine in September by asking myself if I’d pay $16.5k more for a 2025. Ford did lower the 2025 prices, so the 2024 Limited Stealth MSRP was $84k, and the 2025 Platinum Stealth Performance is also $84k. But still, $16.5k off? No brainer for me.

@Sky
How’d you manage $16.5k off? Was it all cash? Did you special order, or was it one sitting on the lot?

Yeah, it was all cash, no special financing. Got $8k dealer discount, $6k Ford rebate, and an extra $2.5k from a special offer Ford gave me after a buyback on an Explorer. For most, it would’ve been $14k off since that was the dealer’s advertised discount—I just added my extra $2.5k to the deal.

That might’ve been me who mentioned stacking. But it really depends on your zip code; different regions have different offers.
