Hey everyone! I’m about to buy a 2017 Ford Expedition, and I’m super excited. Does anyone here have modified Expeditions they’d like to share? I’m looking for ideas and inspiration.
They’re pretty heavy, so it’s tough to do a lot with them. Plus, they’re not great off-road either.
If you’re after performance, definitely consider getting a tune.
You should check out some of the forums for trucks and 4x4s, plus the Ford ones. Lots of good stuff there!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Here’s an idea: airbag it, swap in a Powerstroke, open up the headers, and roll some coal.

If you’re going that far, just get yourself a 7.3 or 6.0 Excursion instead. Way less of a headache.
@Jai
Now that would be awesome for mods. Throw on some 37s, build up the axles, add lockers, and armor it with ARB bumpers.
There’s a wide-body 2015 Expedition that DeMuro found for sale. Looks wild!
Honestly, just get a Ford Flex.

I do love the Flex, but they’re so hard to find in my area.
Play around with wheel offsets—that can make a big difference. What color is your Expedition?
What kind of mods are you thinking about? It’s got independent suspension all around, so lifts and wheels can be tricky. But you can tune the EcoBoost engine for some serious power.
Start with wheels and a good tune for the EcoBoost. That should wake it up nicely.
