A/C Trouble Help

Hey everyone, My 2020 Expedition Limited is having major A/C problems, and now I’m hearing weird sounds from the transmission. I’m already set to get the tranny checked next month, but the A/C is driving me nuts. Has anyone else dealt with this? What did you do to fix it?

Damn, I feel your pain dude. Maybe it’s just a bad compressor, you could try replacing that.

I remember sometime back my 2019 transmission started slipping, and then the A/C just wouldn’t blow cold, then it turned out it was a faulty condenser. It costed me a pretty penny though, but I love my rig again.

Yoh, wait… about the weird sounds, I also thought mine was the transmission too but it was just the fan hitting a loose cover.

Honestly, these expeditions can be drama queens man. If your A/C is only lukewarm, it might just be a bad blend door actuator. Cheap fix if that’s the case.

I think I’ll check the compressor and the blend door actuator too. Anyone know how much a condenser typically costs?

I think it goes for around $400. Just make sure they use OEM parts, or you could end up back in the shop soon.

Thanks…I’d rather not revisit that place anytime soon. Any other quirky problems with the 2020 model I should look out for?

Yeah, I think you should watch out for the infotainment system glitching. It’s like the car’s trying to be a smartphone.

LOL, the infotainment system is like a teenager—always acting up. I’ve had my rear camera go dark out of nowhere too. Typical Ford quirks.

About that, don’t forget about the brakes. I had a squeaking issue that turned out to be some bad rotors. Just add that to your checklist
