Does anyone know when the ‘25 Expeditions will be at the dealerships?
I’m planning to buy my wife a new one and wondering if it’s worth waiting for the 2025 models. I’ve never ordered a car before, is the system at the dealership the same as the one we use online to configure?
I configured a 2024 Limited Max 302A with the big screen and plan to place the order this week. Does anyone have experience with the entertainment screens behind the front seats? We have two young kids, so we need them. Looking for feedback.
The 2025 will be a refresh, so it depends on whether you prefer the new features or not. Personally, I’m not a fan of the new infotainment and instrument cluster, but I do like the split trunk. Just keep in mind that first-year infotainment changes usually come with more bugs.
Is the 2025 just a refresh, or is it a whole new body style? I thought the current body got refreshed in 2021 or 2022. Don’t they usually refresh once and then do a full redesign a few years later?
If you’re looking for a deal, there are big savings on the 2024s right now. Ford is taking their time releasing the 2025s, and they won’t hit the lots until at least March or April. Personally, I like the look of the 2025 Navigator better, and from what I’ve seen of the spied 2025 Expedition, I’d rather save a few grand and go with a 2024 model.
The deals I’m seeing don’t seem to knock much off the MSRP, but the interest rates are better. If I take the full rebate, I’m looking at 7-8% interest rates, which seems like I’d be better off going for the lower interest rate. Am I missing something?
Lincoln has been offering 0% financing for 60 months for a couple of months now. It ends today (September 30), unless they extend it. Manufacturers don’t offer those rates unless they need to move inventory. For comparison, Escalades are sitting at 8-9% financing right now, which shows how in demand they are compared to Navigators.
The catch with lower interest rates is that they use them to finance overpriced vehicles. Lower interest is just a way to get people to buy cars at inflated MSRPs. You’re paying less interest, but the car itself is still priced high. I’m hoping for a market correction by next year.
UPDATE: Lincoln is offering 2.9% financing for 84 months now. They’re clearly still trying to move inventory, but the deal is for buyers who care about low monthly payments.
You can save more money if you get a certified pre-owned lease return. They come with better warranties than new ones, plus you can add an extended Ford warranty on top. A lot of them come with 100,000-mile warranties, which beats the new car warranty.
I’ve looked into used ones, but the prices aren’t that great in my area, especially with the high interest rates. With 2.9% financing, I’d rather buy new and avoid the mileage.
If you’re trying to save the most money, the best time to buy is between Christmas and New Year’s. That’s when you’ll find the biggest manufacturer incentives. But at the very least, I’d wait until the 2025s come out. You’ll see better deals on the 2024s when that happens.
I just got a 2024 Limited Stealth for my wife and got a great deal. Compared to the 2025, I saved a lot and avoided paying MSRP. Here are some things I considered:
The 2024 model’s Sync 4 works great and has built-in maps if Android Auto or CarPlay fail.
The 15-inch screen is huge. If you need bigger than that, you probably shouldn’t be driving!
Lane centering is awesome, almost like the car drives itself on the highway.
I was initially waiting for the 2025 to get BlueCruise, but then I found out it costs $700 per month. Ford’s current lane centering works great and doesn’t cost anything extra.
Great question! I’m curious what the 2025 models will look like too. Not sure when they’ll hit the lots, but Ford is offering big markdowns on the 2024s right now. My wife and I just bought a 2024 and got about $12k off the MSRP thanks to dealer and Ford incentives.
