Which is Better for Winter, Napa or Motorcraft Batteries?

We haven’t replaced our 2011 Expy’s battery in about four years. We’ve got two choices now. Both are 850 amps and winter rated. One is the Motorcraft, which has a three-year warranty, and the other is Napa with a four-year warranty. The Napa one costs 21% more for just one extra year of warranty. It gets really cold where we live, and the car’s electrical system struggles a lot in the winter. Has anyone had experience with either of these brands in cold weather? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I would go with a Walmart battery. There are just a few battery manufacturers in the country. This could have changed, so it’s worth doing a little research. Johnson Controls makes batteries for Walmart and Motorcraft, so you’re getting the same battery but with a different label.

Yeah, I’d do the same and just grab a Walmart one. Or even a Sam’s or Costco battery. I would also go for the AGM type, especially with the cold weather.

@Bao
And it’s cheaper too.

Optima AGM batteries are really good. They last a long time and work great in cold weather.

I’d pick Motorcraft.

Diehard AGM, Optima AGM, or anything AGM really. I’ve had great luck with those in cold conditions.
