Weird Electrical Issue in My 2001 Expedition

Hey folks, I’m having a weird issue with my 2001 Expedition. Normally, when the engine’s off, you shouldn’t be able to use the power windows or adjust the seats, right? Well, my ride seems to be losing power, but I just noticed I can still roll down the windows and move the seats when the car’s off. How is this even possible? Any ideas on what’s going on or how to fix it? I’m not the most car-savvy person, so any help would be awesome.

You might have a parasitic drain somewhere. Try checking if anything electrical is staying on even when the car’s off, like an interior light or a fuse. That could be causing the power loss.

Hey, It might be a problem with the ignition switch. If it’s faulty, it can cause weird power issues.

Man, maybe your battery is just getting weak. A weak battery will still let things like the windows work but not enough to start the car reliably.

Or, the problem lies with the power window relay. If it’s malfunctioning, it might be allowing power to flow even when it shouldn’t, right?

Why wouldn’t it be the body control module when It controls electrical systems, so if it’s faulty, it can cause strange electrical behavior. That might be a bit pricey to fix though.

If the relay is stuck in the “on” position, it could let the power flow to the windows and seats even when the car is off. So It could be as simple as a faulty ignition relay.
