The next-gen Ford Expedition Tremor has been spied without any disguise, and it’s showing off its new screen setup. Thoughts? Love it, hate it, or just confused by it?
That screen setup is awful. What were they thinking?

Yeah, it’s terrible. I wasn’t a fan of the portrait screens in the Lightning and Mach-E, but this somehow looks even worse.
@Lior
I don’t agree. I’ve got a Mach-E, and the portrait style is the worst. At least the Expedition is going for a landscape layout. My F-150 has a 12-inch landscape screen, and it’s the best I’ve used. Big enough for CarPlay but still leaves room for physical climate and radio controls.
@Quinlan
The F-150 screen is great, but this one? It’s a step back. Why push the screen so far back and angle it toward the passenger? The 2021 Expedition’s setup was better with proper ergonomics and physical controls.
@Vic
Fair point. I’ll hold off final judgment until I sit in one, but I agree the picture makes it look odd. If it works as well as the F-150 setup, I’ll be okay with it.
@Quinlan
The Mach-E screen looks like someone slapped an iPad on the dash.

I thought people were exaggerating. Nope, it’s actually that bad.

What’s the point of that extra screen? Speed info is behind the wheel, entertainment is on the lower screen, and the top one isn’t even touchable. Are they just going to throw a big clock up there?
@Heath
Probably. A giant analog clock or some album art that no one cares about.
Everyone’s talking about the interior, but let’s not forget the exterior looks bad too.

They need to tone down the orange accents. Especially on the rims.

How else will you know it’s the rugged off-road trim? Gotta match those Hoka sneakers!

It’s a shame because the current-gen Expedition and Navigator are some of the best-looking SUVs on the road.
Did the interior designer used to work on Saturn or Nissan Quests?

Don’t forget the Nissan Quest. Those vibes are strong here.
The Expedition has always felt like the black sheep of full-size SUVs. Ford just can’t seem to get this segment right.

The Expedition often had a better interior than GM’s SUVs, at least until recently. Plus, the 3.5L is a rocket if you throw a tune on it.

My local Ford dealer is struggling to sell Expeditions. They’ve had one on the lot for months with a $12,000 discount plastered on it. People just don’t seem interested.
The dash layout is a disaster. Can’t wait for Ford to realize how much people hate it and change course.
