Finally got my hands on a 2022 Expedition, and I couldn’t be happier! We went with the Stone Blue Metallic with the sandstone interior. It’s been a long wait, but totally worth it. Still getting used to all the features, but so far, it’s been fantastic. Happy to answer any questions!
Looks amazing! Still waiting on my Platinum Max. The gas prices are stressing me out though—almost $150 to fill up, lol. Is that the Stone Blue?

Thanks! Yes, it’s Stone Blue Metallic with sandstone interior. We wanted a Max with a bench, but they were impossible to find. I figure we’ll make it work for now and maybe trade later if we need more space. I haven’t driven it much yet since gas prices are crazy and we still have miles left on our lease. Fingers crossed prices come down soon!

Man, I wish I could swap cars with someone driving a Corolla until gas prices go down! I’ve got a 2014 Expedition and average 50 miles a day.
@Rowan
Oof. Time to grab a $500 beater car for daily driving!

You’re seriously complaining about gas prices when you bought a brand-new Expedition?
@Sloan
Right? If you’re dropping that kind of money, gas prices shouldn’t be your biggest concern. At least, I’d hope not.

Just because you can afford something doesn’t mean you want to throw money away on gas. Nothing wrong with being smart about spending.
@Kai
Spending $85k on a vehicle that gets 17mpg and then complaining about gas prices is kind of wild, though.

Fair point, lol. First world problems, I guess.
They need to electrify these! I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

Agreed! I’d have loved a hybrid option. Hopefully, it’s something Ford offers in the next few years.

The Explorer EV is coming first and is already pretty far along. I’d bet the Expedition will get a hybrid option before going full electric.
How do you like that massive screen?

I really like it! The screen on the last generation felt too small in comparison.
How much did you pay?

MSRP was $68k, they were asking $76k, and I got it for $74k with roof rails thrown in. There were three other couples looking at it when I was, so I didn’t have much negotiating power. Normally, I hate paying over MSRP, but with baby #3 on the way, I had to make the move.
@Zola
And that’s why prices won’t come down anytime soon!
@Zola
Mind if I ask your household income? I’m looking at full-sized SUVs too, but the price tag is a tough pill to swallow.
