@Sam
Just drove my Cayenne Turbo 1,000 miles with two dogs (50lb & 100lb). Super comfy, cruised at 90+ MPH the whole way. Luxury SUVs are amazing for road trips.
“Dream car” and “practicality” don’t belong in the same sentence.

Disagree. Practicality is key for my dream daily driver / ski vehicle.

One of my dream cars is a Sportsmobile (4x4 camper van), and it’s all about practicality.
My dad had a 1st-gen Expedition for nearly 20 years. The moment he sold it, I started hunting for one of the same vintage.
They’re rugged, smooth on the highway, and surprisingly easy to service (except the spark plugs—those are a nightmare).
My dream car is a Focus RS, and my dad laughs at me for it.

That’s actually a really nice-looking car.
I totally get it! I always wanted a Tahoe, finally got one, and I love it. Sure, a Raptor or a sports car would be cool, but for a realistic dream car? This is it.
Nope, not weird at all! I had a 2018 Expedition on vacation in Jackson Hole, and it was amazing—comfortable, practical, and could go anywhere. 100% considering an SUV for my next vehicle.
The only correct dream Expedition is a diesel Excursion.
Practicality is relative. Where I live, an Expedition is a nightmare to park. And let’s be real—the MPG is not good by any stretch.
But hey, you do you. Don’t let your dreams be dreams.
This is the first time ever I’ve heard someone call an Expedition ‘fuel-efficient’.
Real-world mileage: 17 MPG. Older ones? 13-15 MPG.
If you love the space and capability, go for it! But if you want good MPG, you might want to look elsewhere.
