What year did heated steering wheels first appear on the Expedition?
Not sure about the exact year, but my 2020 Limited Max has one.
My 2017 Limited doesn’t have it.

Weird decision to leave that out, especially on higher trims.

Yeah, I even test drove a 2017 Explorer and it had a heated steering wheel.

Exactly! Our 2016 Explorer XLT had it. Strange choice by Ford.

They probably waited for the full refresh. Adding it to the old design wouldn’t have been cost-effective.

The last real refresh was back in 2008, other than some engine updates. The interior didn’t really change much.

While the Explorer isn’t exactly Ford’s flagship SUV, it’s insanely popular.
I’ve noticed that newer Expeditions often borrow design cues from earlier-gen Explorers. And even those sometimes seem to pull ideas from older Escapes.
