I’d love an Expedition! Wish I lived near you; I’d take it off your hands!
Does your model have self-parking? There’s a button with a ‘P’ on it near the drive mode dial.

Yes, it does, but I thought it was only for parallel parking? We don’t have many parallel parking spots where I live.
@Dev
You can swipe through different modes. It helps with more than just parallel parking. It’s worth digging a little deeper to find out if it could help you.

Self-parking is okay, but it sometimes parks too close to other cars in perpendicular spots. It’s not great for grocery stores where you want the back hatch accessible. But, yeah, you won’t hit anything with the self-parking feature!
@Asa
At least you’ll have fewer stories about hitting things!
Use the 360 camera. It helped my wife park our previous minivan after she had some issues. She parks like a pro now with it.
Drive it like a truck – slow with wide turns.
Swing wide! It’s the easiest way to avoid hitting curbs and park better. I drive an Expedition Max, and if I don’t swing wide enough, I can’t get into a spot.
I park mine well, even parallel. But I always park away from the entrance so I have room for the kid’s car seat. Kids bang the door open sometimes, so it’s easier if I park farther away. It drives and maneuvers just like a midsize SUV.
Backing into spaces makes a huge difference, especially with the 360 camera.
Swing wide, lol.
For some people, it’s harder to maneuver a bigger car. Maybe try selling or trading it? SUVs are still pretty popular, and you might get a good offer. But if you can’t, just adapt and take your time parking. People might get irritated, but who cares? The more you do it, the better you’ll get!
