I’ve had my 2024 for a few months now, and I’ve been told my subscription is about to run out. Honestly, I didn’t realize this feature was tied to a subscription. Maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention when I bought it. So, here’s my question: Can I still use cruise control without the subscription? What about Lane Keeping? I posted something about this a month ago, and I’m hoping someone can shed some light on it. Appreciate the help!
You still have all the regular cruise control features without the Blue Cruise, just not the hands-free part.
BlueCruise 1.0 (for 2022-2024 Expeditions) just adds to the adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, and other features. It lets you go hands-free on certain highways, but without it, the car will still drive normally. You just can’t let go of the steering wheel without the car reminding you to put your hands back on.

I’ve got the 2023 Expy Limited and it seems like I can’t even buy Blue Cruise. Is there any way to upgrade or pay for it? I’m ready to pay Ford if they’ll add it!

BlueCruise comes standard on Platinum trims, and it’s an option for Limited and maybe King Ranch models for 2022-2024. If it’s not on your window sticker, then you can’t get it. If it is, you should be able to resubscribe through the FordPass app.

Man, no hands-free for me…

I feel like, with the price we paid, Ford should just include it. Instead, they’re making it another subscription service, which feels like just another way to take more money from us.

If it was such an important feature, why didn’t you research it before you bought the car? A quick Google search could have saved you from this surprise.
Maybe this isn’t the best place to find the answers you’re looking for. My advice is to check with your dealer, a service rep, or even Ford directly. Go over your paperwork and see what features you actually have, and then reach out to them for confirmation. Hope you figure it out and let us know what you find out. Good luck!
