Can you stack 2.9% financing and $7,000 rebate?

The dealer told me I can’t use both, but I saw someone here mention that they can be stacked. Ford’s website doesn’t say anything about them being separate or one-or-the-other. Can anyone who works at a dealership confirm?

Looking at a 2024 Platinum Max in South Dakota, if that makes a difference.

The closer it gets to December 31st, the more ‘can’t stack’ turns into ‘let’s make a deal.’

Does that $7K include a customer cash incentive? Usually, you have to pick between special financing and customer cash.

That said, they still have room to move on price. I’ve seen some dealerships advertising $12K off MSRP on Expeditions in Houston. If inventory is tight in South Dakota, that might not be the case there.

When we got our 2023 King Ranch, we got 0.9% financing AND $8K off MSRP. Found the same truck on AutoNation’s site, and the dealer price-matched and gave us the low financing. You might have better luck at the end of the month when they’re more flexible.

That’s correct. Right now, you can choose the special financing rates:

  • 1.9% for 36 months
  • 2.9% for 48 months
  • 3.9% for 60 months
  • 4.9% for 72 months

If you take the special APR, there’s also a $1,000 APR bonus cash plus $615 BlueCruise bonus cash.

If you can wait, incentives will likely get better once the 2025 models hit the lot. At that point, Ford will want to clear out remaining 2024 models.

If I could stack the 2.9% financing and $7,000 rebate, I might just go buy that 2024 XLT I’ve been eyeing right now…

The longer you wait, the better the incentives, BUT once the 2024s are gone, they’re gone. And when the 2025s arrive, you’ll be paying MSRP again.

If you’re looking for a specific build, don’t wait too long. I got $16.5K off in September. I asked myself, ‘Would I pay $16.5K more for a 2025 model?’ Nope.

Ford did lower the 2025 pricing, though. My 2024 Limited Stealth was MSRP $84K, but the 2025 Platinum Stealth Performance is also $84K now. Still, for me, it wasn’t worth the extra money to wait.

@Drew
How did you get $16.5K off? Was it all cash? Did you order it, or was it sitting on the lot?

All cash. There was no special financing when I bought.

  • $8K dealer discount
  • $6K Ford rebate
  • $2.5K special Ford offer from a buyback I did on an Explorer.

For most buyers, the discount would have been $14K off MSRP. The $2.5K Ford offer was something specific to me.

I think I was the one who mentioned stacking. It depends on your zip code.
