Anyone here thinking about getting an Expedition Timberline?

I do a fair bit of light off-roading and overlanding, but now I have a growing family. I’m interested in the Expedition, especially the Timberline trim. There don’t seem to be many options for a mild lift that fits 35s comfortably. Any advice or experiences with this?

I don’t have much to add on lifts, but if you wait a little, you might score a great deal when the Tremor comes out next year. The Timberline is supposed to be discontinued.

Yeah, I’ve thought about that. My wife works at a Ford dealership, so I already get a decent deal. I’ve got a 250 Tremor on order, but I’m not fully set on it because I prefer an SUV since I don’t really need a truck (I have one for work). I might wait a couple of months for the truck to arrive and then decide. She does have a Wild Green Timberline on the lot now that I really like. Feeling torn about it.

@Zander
Do you mean the Forged Green color?

No, Wild Green is a color available for 2024.

Oh, got it! Like the Bronco color. Thanks for clarifying.

I have a Timberline, and I’ve done some light off-roading with it. It holds up well. I don’t think you could put much larger tires on it without mods, but some guys on this forum have managed it. It’s quick, and I like the interior, though not everyone is into the green leather seats.

I have an older Expedition. Do you really need 35s if you don’t have a solid rear axle for your type of off-roading? My '07 doesn’t have a differential hanging down, so there’s a decent amount of clearance with stock 20” wheels.
