I have a 2023 Expedition Timberline, and I’ve been noticing a small hesitation under my feet and the front passenger’s feet when the car is in drive mode but stationary. Once I start driving, the feeling goes away. Is this normal, or could it be a spark plug issue or something else? The car only has 10,000 miles. Any advice is appreciated.
Is it like a small stumble or a slight stutter at idle?

Yes, that’s exactly what it feels like.

Does it happen when the engine is just idling, or when you press the gas? I have a 2022 and sometimes feel a slight stutter at idle too.
Are you using eco mode? It can cause a noticeable lack of power and might feel like hesitation or shudder unless you press harder on the gas.

No, I’m in normal mode.
Do you mean the engine stops? Sometimes auto stop-start turns off the engine while stopped and restarts it when you let off the brake.

No, I always turn off auto start-stop. It feels more like the engine hesitates, and you can feel a slight vibration in the front floor area.
Are you new to using an EcoBoost engine?

Got it. There’s a very slight delay between pressing the gas pedal and the engine responding. You might want to read up on EcoBoost turbo lag to understand it better. Check out some info here: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/ecoboost-hesitation-turbo-lag-explanation-good-read-149462/
