This thing looks ridiculous. I don’t need a spaceship, I need a capable truck with a third row. Hopefully, they realize their mistake and switch it back in a year or two.
I agree 100%. Glad I got a 2022. Bring back buttons! No one wants to mess with the screen just to turn on the headlights.
The 2025 dash is a mess. I bet they over-designed it to save costs, since it’s so close to the Navigator’s layout. I’ve got a 2020 Limited, and you can tell they actually thought about usability. The lights, buttons, everything is where it should be. In the 2025 model, everything’s on the screen or the steering wheel touchpad, and it’s way less user-friendly. My wife would hate it, she’s not into screen tech at all.
I’m not a fan of the split tailgate or the new dash. I’ll stick with my 2015 Limited, thanks.
Actually, the split tailgate is one of the reasons I’m considering buying one.
I’d prefer the old split doors from the Excursions.
The new instrument cluster being so far forward bugs me. I feel like the sun is going to glare off it and make it hard to see.
I’m glad I got a 2024. The 2025 dash is not my style at all. Plus, if you have to take your eyes off the road to do something basic, it’s just bad design.
The new dash design is awful. That two-level look with the screen near the window reminds me of a Tesla.
I hate the new dash. It looks like something out of a kit car, and the rear end is starting to look too much like a GMC Yukon.
I was waiting to see the new Expedition before upgrading from my 2019, but the 2025 design just isn’t doing it for me. I do like the third-row center drop-down feature, though. And I heard there’s a hybrid version coming. Anybody know more about that?
I didn’t hear about the hybrid. Got any details?
The steering wheel looks way too small for the dash. It just doesn’t fit.
Yeah, if the dash design forces you to make the steering wheel awkward, then the dash design is just bad.
Hate that the lights are controlled through the screen now, and I’m not a fan of moving the drive mode selector to where the light controls used to be. Who decided to hide the trailer assist in a covered compartment?
The dash looks weird because Ford cheaped out. It’s built for the Navigator’s pillar-to-pillar screen, but they stuck a smaller screen on that same layout for the Expedition, and it just looks wrong. GM made separate designs for the Tahoe, Yukon, and Escalade. Ford tried to squeeze too much out of one layout.
