2024 timberline or other

Want the 2024 and drove it. Never drove a body on frame car before. Noticed quite a lot of swaying while on highway (tilting to the left and right). I have to do some gravel/basic off-road driving and need a center bench and there is one with decent discount available near me.

My question is, is the timberline unique in the road “feel” or is it much bouncier or more sway compared to other editions? I’ve seen conflicting stuff online about things like the stealth being too harsh a ride? Confused in general and interested in thoughts.

Our two vehicles are a Wrangler and an Expy Max Limited.

The limited is glued to the road and I feel nothing. Mind you my other vehicle is a cardboard box that bounces if you look at it funny.

lol I agree, but also, if you’ve only ever driven civics and Camrys then yes, the expedition (no matter the trim) will feel lofty. It’s just significantly bigger and heavier

Don’t the off-road tires and suspension make the ride a little rougher? We were stuck between the timberline and XLT but decided on the XLT because the timberline doesn’t come with AC seats lol figured I could do off-road stuff on the XLT later. Our XLT is the nicest ride I’ve ever been in… granted it’s the first brand new vehicle I’ve owned so that may not be saying much…

You should try test driving a Lincoln Navigator, to see if it feels different

I can’t speak to other expedition editions but we have both a F150 and F250 and my timberline drives like a mix between the two. I find it comfortable to drive on the highway but also more than capable on lease roads. I had a 4Runner before and it was noisy and rode terribly on the highway.

I drive a 2023 limited max and it rides smoother than the ‘24 timberline my wife test drove. She ended up ordering a ‘25 tremor since the timberline went away but expect it will ride similarly, just slightly bumpier and with more sway than an xlt or limited.
